Artcast4D is excited to announce the launch of its pilot programmes across Europe in Issy-les-Moulineaux, Hounslow, Valencia, and Athens. This project fosters collaborative and interactive art creation, exploring new realms of immersive experiences in public spaces, performance art, and tourism enhancing public engagement and cultural heritage. Artcast4D pilots use AAAseed, a versatile 2D/3D real-time engine developed and used by Mâa, and aim to assess the impact of immersive technology on the arts and support the competitiveness of local cultural sectors.

Issy-les-Moulineaux Takes the Lead with Citizen Engagement

In Issy-les-Moulineaux, France, Artcast4D’s pilot project provides a new experience in the city centre by collaborating with the French Museum of Playing Cards. This initiative invites citizens and cultural and creative industry professionals to co-create immersive, interactive artworks, using AAASeed technology to explore event promotion, cultural heritage, and real-time interactive environments in partnership with Hounslow, UK.

The first artwork created by residents was presented during the #VivaIssy festival from 15 to 21 May 2024 and during the European Night of Museums on 18 May. By the end of the project in August 2025, three major events will further enrich the city's cultural life. A unique collaboration with Hounslow will install simultaneous creation panels between the two cities. Workshops titled "Cartomaton" will allow participants to create interactive playing cards based on the Museum's collections. Finally, the Issy Mix project will feature multidisciplinary workshops combining concerts, mapping, and interactive installations.

Art in the Public Space: Hounslow's Creative Exploration

Hounslow, UK, embraces Artcast4D’s vision by integrating art into its public spaces. Over two years, Watermans Arts Centre will curate five artistic commissions, showcasing the versatility of AAASeed technology. Projects range from digital performances to long-term installations, promising to captivate the public while strengthening ties with Issy-les-Moulineaux.

One standout project is "The Pillars of Our Latex House" (23 March - 11 April 2024). Created by artist Tendayi Vine, this project uses AAASeed software to explore the identity of the gutta-percha tree, addressing themes of ecological impact and restoration efforts. Watermans also supports artists like Tom Dale Dance Company and Insectotropics, allowing them to experiment with AAASeed technology to enhance public engagement with art.

Valencia: Pioneering Innovation in Art and Experience

Valencia, Spain, Espai LaGranja and Instituto Valencià de Cultura (IVC) showcased how combining art and immersive technology can engage the public and unleash creativity with "TEK-NET," a dance piece directed by Elton Luis, presented on 3 May 2024. "TEK-NET" explored the complex relationship between humanity and technology through electro dance, offering an interesting reflection on our digital age.

Wisdom Tourism: Athens’ Philosophical Exploration

Athens, Greece, introduces an innovative approach to museum experiences through its Wisdom Tourism pilot. Set against the backdrop of Aristotle’s ancient Peripatetic School, visitors will engage with moral dilemmas via the IdeoVisual© methodology. This interactive journey, aided by AI, invites reflection on profound questions, offering a unique blend of historical wisdom and modern technology.

Artcast4D represents a step forward in the integration of technology and art, aiming to enrich cultural engagement and artistic expression across Europe. These pilots not only showcase the creative potential of AAASeed technology but also promise to foster new forms of collaboration, innovation, and public engagement in the arts.
